An Inspiring Journey

Currently, in my second year at New York Film Academy's Masters in Documentary Film production, my path has been a windy one. Although always an artist at heart, I started as a software engineer and then transitioned to study medicine. I completed medical school in New York followed by a Psychiatry residency in San Francisco. I spent the following twelve years working as a psychiatrist and building one of the largest outpatient mental health practices in California. But the calling to continue creating has never quieted down. That’s when I started film school. As a psychiatrist, I strive to understand people, their aspirations and their fears, their behaviors and motivations, their triumphs, and failures. As a documentarian, I want to tell their stories.
